ONE BAR BUILD
“TEMPLAR”
“ONE BAR TEMPLAR BUILD”
In this One Bar Templar Build I am going to try to set this up differently and give you item loadouts that you can play not only at high CP levels, but item sets you can go for at level 3, level 25, and level 50. That way you are guided through the build from level 3. I think a lot of times players don’t know what to do in the beginning stages of builds and so I want to try to alleviate that by giving you beginner setups to work towards and then have the full set up that will really make this build shine.
Furthermore, as a Templar, you have access to one of the most broken skills in the game, you have great sustain, self healing, and damage. Also a skill was was recently buffed that will make this hit like a truck.
BREAKING DOWN THE BUILD
CLASS: TEMPLAR
Templars are one of the easiest classes to play in the game. They have so many good synergies with sets. Also, they have such good sustain and self healing that they basically never die. Plus they hit like trucks.
RACE: Khajiit
We are choosing Khajiit because of it’s increase in Critical Damage and Healing plus some of it’s other passives are nice to have with any build. This One Bar Templar Build can use other races if you choose.
BUFF FOOD: DUBIOUS CAMORAN THRONE
Dubious Camoran Throne is a great option for us as it gives us more stam recovery which we will need as a One Bar Build.

POTIONS:
I usually just use tri-stat potions because the gem crates you get from ZOS and the daily rewards give millions of them.
ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
We have 64 points into stamina. Now like I said I am going to discuss your progression as a level 3 character, easily enough as your leveling this character you just put all your points into the stamina stat.

MUNDUS STONE:
We are using the thief mundus stone for increased critical ratings. It’s kind of up to you what you like more, if you want more penetration you can go the lover, or if you want more critical damage you can go shadow (but we have a great increase from our race passive). You can pick those up early in the game too throughout the map. Just look up mundus stone locations.
SKILLS
You want to aim for these skills, but the order you slot them is totally a personal preference.
MAIN BAR
Biting Jabs | Power of the Light | Turn Evil | Barbed Trap | Camouflaged Hunter | Flawless Dawnbreaker |
---|
Front bar
Biting Jabs – Aedric Spear Line – The bread and butter of your build. This is what you use 90 percent of the time. It does insane damage, it literally is one of the most broken skills in the game.
Power of the Light – Dawn’s Wrath – This is a skill you click and leave and let it do it’s work and then you reapply it. It will also apply Minor Breach as well.
Turn Evil – Fighter’s Guild Line – Just on your bar for the fighter’s guild passives. Don’t activate this skill.
Barbed Trap – Fighter’s Guild Line – This is used for the buff you get when using it that gives a boost to critical damage which paired with our Khajiit is just insane.
Camouflaged Hunter– Fighter’s Guild Line – On our bar for just the passive effect. It gives up 3 percent weapon and spell damage from the Fighter’s Guild Passives. It also gives us Major Savagery and Prophecy increasing our Weapon and Spell Crit ratings passively. You can also get minor berserk if you hit an enemy from the flank. The only thing with this skill is since the Oakensoul Ring has been nerfed, this Major Savagery and Prophecy doesn’t really do much because you can’t stack that effect. So if you want to switch this out, you can switch it with Razor Caltrops from the PvP line.
Flawless Dawnbreaker (Ultimate) – Fighter’s Guild Line – Great AOE. After using the skill, it increases your weapon spell damage by 300 for 20 seconds, it has low ultimate cost as well. But you also are using it for the Fighter’s Guild passive, slayer, but it is nice for clearing mobs of enemies.
Progression of Skills from level 3 to 50:
You can slot the first skill on your front bar from each templar skill line. This will level up all your lines accordingly. Slot the skills that you need for the build when they are unlocked.
For the Fighter’s Guild, just run dolmens in Alik’r and you will have level 10 in no time.
PASSIVE SKILLS
The One Bar Templar Build utilizes these passives. As you get more skills points feel free to put more points into other things. But These passives are crucial to helping you really increase your effectiveness.
Class: All Aedric Spear and Dawn’s Wrath Passives, except Enduring Rays. Restoring Light – Master Ritualist
Weapon: All dual wield passives
Armor: Take all the Medium armor passives
Guild: Grab all the undaunted and fighter’s guild passives
Craft: Medicinal Use from the Alchemy Tree
Racial: All Racial Passives
ARMOR
These armor sets are the endgame/end build armor sets to go for. I will give a progression below that you can follow from level 3 to CP 160. But all these armor sets should be easy to get.
Slimecraw
On the head we have Slimecraw, which is from Veteran Wayrest Sewers Dungeon. This is in the base game but that helmet is going to give us critical chance.
Briarheart OR Leviathan
This is our main body set. Pick Leviathan if you are doing group play, but pick Briarheart if you are doing solo play. Leviathan will give us more critical across the board, but Briarheart will give us more healing, weapon and spell damage, and some critical.
Deadly Strike
We are using a necklace and ring of deadly, a shoulder piece of deadly, and 2 daggers. This set is a broken set with the Templar because of the biting jabs skill. It is considered a channel so it buffs that skill and it just wrecks.
Oakensoul Ring
The last item set is a new powerhouse mythic item, Oakensoul Ring. This has recently been nerfed but should still be viable. Instead of giving us certain stats like recovery, critical, and armor. This now gives us flat buffs like Major Savagery, Major Intellect ETC. So if this goes live like this, then you can just take off your Camouflaged hunter skill and replace that with a AOE damaging skill. I still recommend getting this item because I think it’s going to still be a solid set for you.

Oakensoul Ring – Mythic Item leads
Armor Set Progression from level 3 to CP 160
Level 3 – (Hunding’s Rage) (Twilight’s Embrace) – Crafted sets
Level 25 – (Viper’s Sting) – Fungal Grotto 1 Dungeon (Leviathan) – Crypt of Hearts Dungeon (Venomous Smite) – Overland — (Hunding’s Rage) (Twilight’s Embrace) — Alternative
Level 50 – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace
Level 160 CP – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace. Once you do that you can farm Briarheart in Wrothgar, switch Twilight’s out for that. You can then go doing PvP things or buy Deadly off of guild traders. Switch that with Hunding’s Rage. After that go and get Slimecraw’s helm from Veteran Wayrest Sewer’s 1. Get the leads for the Oakensoul Ring at any time.
CHAMPION POINTS
WARFARE TREE
Moving your mouse over the stars in the CP screen will give you more info of what it does. If you don’t have many skill points, don’t worry, just pick what you can and how much you can. Only the slottable ones are listed, the rest is up to your preference.
- Fighting Finesse (Slot)
- Backstabber (Slot)
- Biting Aura (Slot)
- Master at Arms (Slot)
You can put other points into other non-slottable CP stars and the ones you need to get the slottable ones.
FITNESS TREE
- Bloody Renewal (Slot)
- Rejuvenation (Slot)
- Survival Instincts (Slot)
- Sustained by Suffering (Slot)
The rest of the points put into what you want in the red tree and the ones you need to get the slottables.
CRAFT TREE
This tree is kind of open to anything, just pick what you like, it doesn’t matter for combat. If you want suggestions, I would say Liquid Efficiency, Rationer and Treasure Hunter are always a good choice.
ONE BAR TEMPLAR BUILD ROTATION
The rotation for the One Bar Templar Build is as simple as I could get it for you all –
Barbed Trap > Power of Light – Biting Jabs > Light attack > Forever
Use Power of Light, Barbed Trap, and Ultimate when they are up.
Use this as a guideline and go out there and wreak havoc!
