SOLO RANGER BUILD
“WARDEN”
“INVINCIBLE WARDEN”
In this Solo Ranger Build I am going to try to set this up differently and give you item loadouts that you can play not only at high CP levels, but item sets you can go for at level 3, level 25, and level 50. That way you are guided through the build from level 3. I think a lot of times players don’t know what to do in the beginning stages of builds and so I want to try to alleviate that by giving you beginner setups to work towards and then have the full set up that will really make this build shine.
Furthermore, as a Warden, this class provides some very nice passives and skills for this build. It performed and felt better than a Dragon Knight when I was testing it.
BREAKING DOWN THE SOLO RANGER BUILD
CLASS: WARDEN
Wardens provide some really nice skills, and passives that make this build super easy to play, gives us great sustain, and makes us nearly invincible.
RACE: KHAJIIT
The reason I love Khajiit for this build is its feline ambush passive is great for solo play, giving us 12 percent increase in crit damage and healing, plus giving us another passive lunar blessings and robustness with give us resource boosts and some recovery. As a bow bow build having that extra critical damage and healing will be nice.
BUFF FOOD: DUBIOUS CAMORAN THRONE
Dubious is such a great food buff for this class and build because it gives us that max health, max stamina, and some stamina recovery which is what we need. You can always use Longfin Pasty with Melon Sauce if you would like to as well.

POTIONS:
I usually just use tri-stat potions because the gem crates you get from ZOS and the daily rewards give millions of them.
ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
We have 64 points into Stamina, which gives us around 31.8k Max Stamina. When you are leveling this character all you have to do is dump points into stamina, it’s that simple.

MUNDUS STONE:
For the Solo Ranger Build, we are using the thief mundus stone for that boost in spell critical. However you can use the lover stone to get more penetration, since this is a solo build. You can also use the shadow for increase critical damage.
SKILLS
You want to aim for these skills, but the order you slot them is totally a personal preference.
MAIN BAR
Lethal Arrow | Subterranean Assault | Bird of Prey | Acid Spray | Poison Injection | Wild Guardian |
---|
BACK BAR
Arrow Barrage | Bull Netch | Bird of Prey | Razor Caltrops | Green Lotus | Wild Guardian |
---|
Front bar
Lethal Arrow – Bow Line – This is our main single target spammable. This puts a poison dot on enemies and wrecks them. It also inflicts major defile.
Subterranean Assault – Animal Companion Line – This skill you will use every 3 seconds you are on this bar, and it absolutely demolishes enemies in an area, doing tons of poison damage.
Bird of Prey– Animal Companion Line – This skill gives us minor berserk for just having it on the bar. Which increases our damage by 5 percent. This is part of the reason why the warden is so good at making builds easy to play.
Acid Spray – Bow Line – This is our main AOE spammable and ways to clear mobs very fast. This will put a poison damage over time on enemies but also do initial poison damage.
Poison Injection – Bow Line – This is a poison dot as well you will put on bosses and it acts as our single target execute when bosses are under 50 percent health.
Wild Guardian (Ultimate) – Which will need to be double barred so it doesn’t die. But this thing just does so much freaking damage, and it does 100 percent more damage with enemies under 25 percent health.
Back Bar
Arrow Barrage – Bow Line – This is going to do a ton of physical damage over time. I love this skill.
Bull Netch – Animal Companion Line – This is going to recover stamina for you over 25 seconds (almost 5k). And give major brutality and sorcery increasing your weapon and spell damage by 20 percent which is insane. Also every 5 seconds the netch removes a negative effect from you.
Green Lotus – Green Balance Line – This will allow your light and heavy attacks to heal you for 20 seconds, light attacks heal less than heavy’s. Not only that, this skill also gives major savagery and prophecy which increases spell and weapon critical ratings, so another buff.
Razor Caltrops – PvP Assault Line – This skill is an amazing dot and cc, but it also applies major breach on the enemies hit which reduces their spell and physical resistance.
Bird of Prey– Animal Companion Line – This skill gives us minor berserk for just having it on the bar. Which increases our damage by 5 percent. This is part of the reason why the warden is so good at making builds easy to play.
Wild Guardian (Ultimate) – Which will need to be double barred so it doesn’t die. But this thing just does so much freaking damage, and it does 100 percent more damage with enemies under 25 percent health.
Progression of Skills from level 3 to 50:
You can slot the first skill on your front bar from each warden’s skill line except winter’s embrace. This is something you can slowly level up since we will just really only need one passive from this skill line. Also slot bow skills on there because most of our abilities are bow line skills. This will level up all your lines accordingly. Slot the skills that you need for the build when they are unlocked.
For PvP, there is a quest in the description of the video that explains how to get to level 3 in the PvP lines at level 10, in 15 minutes. After you do that just do battlegrounds until caltrops are unlocked.
PASSIVE SKILLS
The Solo Ranger Build utilizes these passives. As you get more skills points feel free to put more points into other things. But These passives are crucial to helping you really increase your effectiveness.
Class: Animal Companion line passives. All Green Balance passives except nature’s gift. None of the Winter’s Embrace Passives except Icy Aura.
Weapon: All Bow passives.
Armor: All Medium Armor , then go for light and heavy after that
Racial: All Racial passives.
Guild: All undaunted passives and fighter’s guild passives.
Craft: Medicinal Use from the Alchemy tree.
ARMOR
These armor sets are the endgame/end build armor sets to go for. I will give a progression below that you can follow from level 3 to CP 160. But all these armor sets should be easy to get.
Stormfist
On the head and shoulder we have Stormfist, which is from Veteran Tempest Island Dungeon. This is in the base game but that helmet is going to give us stamina recovery, and when we deal damage we have a chance to do some shock damage but a ton of Physical Damage as well. This helmet destroys things.
Briarheart
On the body pieces we are wearing Briarheart. This is farmable in the Wrothgar overland zone, or you can buy it on guild traders. This is going to give us critical chance x2, max stamina, and when we deal critical damage it will increase our weapon and spell damage, and when the effect is active we heal every time we do a critical strike. The amazing thing is this set will synergize well us being a Khajiit, and with how much we are critically hitting.
Deadly Strike
The jewelry and Bow weapon we are using is Deadly Strike from the Cyrodiil and Guild Traders. This armor set will be boosting our damage over time effects by 20 percent damage, which is insane.
Agility
The last item set is a bow of agility, since this is very easy to obtain from random dungeons, imperial city, or on guild traders. This can be switched out for maelstrom weapons if you would like.

Alternate Item Set Build with Ring of the Pale Order
1x piece Slimecraw
5x piece Briarheart
5x piece Deadly
Ring of the pale order
Armor Set Progression from level 3 to CP 160
Level 3 – (Hunding’s Rage) (Twilight’s Embrace) – Crafted sets
Level 25 – (Viper’s Sting) – Fungal Grotto 1 Dungeon (Leviathan) – Crypt of Hearts Dungeon (Venomous Smite) – Overland — (Hunding’s Rage) (Twilight’s Embrace) — Alternative
Level 50 – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace
Level 160 CP – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace. Once you do that you can farm Briarheart in Wrothgar, switch Twilight’s out for that. Then you can go into Cyrodiil and farm dailies for Deadly or just buy it on guild traders. Switch that with Hunding’s Rage. Then go and get Stormfist helm from Veteran Tempest Island. You could get Slimecraw first before doing Tempest Island, but that’s up to you.
CHAMPION POINTS
WARFARE TREE
Moving your mouse over the stars in the CP screen will give you more info of what it does. If you don’t have many skill points, don’t worry, just pick what you can and how much you can. Only the slottable ones are listed, the rest is up to your preference.
- Fighting Finesse (Slot)
- Reaving Blows(Slot)
- Untamed Aggression (Slot)
- Thaumaturge (Slot)
You can put other points into other non-slottable CP stars and the ones you need to get the slottable ones.
FITNESS TREE
- Bloody Renewal (Slot)
- Rejuvenation (Slot)
- Survival Instincts (Slot)
- Sustained by Suffering (Slot)
The rest of the points put into what you want in the red tree and the ones you need to get the slottables.
CRAFT TREE
This tree is kind of open to anything, just pick what you like, it doesn’t matter for combat. If you want suggestions, I would say Liquid Efficiency, Rationer and Treasure Hunter are always a good choice.
SOLO RANGER BUILD ROTATION
The rotation for the Solo Ranger Build is as simple as I could get it for you all
Single Target
Bull Netch > Green Lotus > Arrow Barrage > Caltrops > Switch Bars
make sure to light attack between skills
Lethal Arrow > Light Attack > Sub Assault > Light Attack > Lethal Arrow > Light Attack > Sub Assault > (when boss is under 50 percent health switch Lethal Arrow with Poison Injection) > switch bars (Also use ultimate bear when it is up always)
Re-apply your damage over times and buffs when needed.
AOE Situations
Bull Netch > Green Lotus > Arrow Barrage > Caltrops > Switch Bars
make sure to light attack between skills
Acid Spray > Light Attack > Sub Assault > Light Attack > Acid Spray > Light Attack > Sub Assault > (when boss is under 50 percent health switch Acid Spray with Poison Injection) > switch bars (Also use ultimate bear when it is up always)
But Solo rotations aren’t as set in stone because you have to move around, do mechanics and heal yourself. Use this as a guideline and go out there and wreak havoc!
