SOLO NIGHTBLADE BUILD
“INVINCIBLE”
“INVINCIBLE NIGHTBLADE”
In this Solo Nightblade Build I am going to try to set this up differently and give you item loadouts that you can play not only at high CP levels, but item sets you can go for at level 3, level 25, and level 50. That way you are guided through the build from level 3. I think a lot of times players don’t know what to do in the beginning stages of builds and so I want to try to alleviate that by giving you beginner setups to work towards and then have the full set up that will really make this build shine.
BREAKING DOWN THE SOLO NIGHTBLADE BUILD
CLASS: NIGHTBLADE
Nightblades for me as always been tricky. I have always struggled to find a happy medium with solo play, because I felt like I was running out of resources or not hitting hard. But this build I have tried to simplify and make it as strong as I can for any player to play.
RACE: KHAJIIT
The insane passives that it has stacks nicely with our Nightblade passives. The feline ambush gives us 12 percent more crit damage and healing which will be nice for damage and staying alive as a solo player. Lunar blessings and Robustness are also very nice for being able to have stats of all attributes.
BUFF FOOD: LONGFIN PASTY WITH MELON SAUCE
Longfin is such a great food for Magicka characters, for the massive flat buffs it gives us to Magicka, Health, and Stamina.

POTIONS:
I usually just use tri-stat potions because the gem crates you get from ZOS and the daily rewards give millions of them.
ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
Now for the stats we are putting 64 points into stamina, so it’s pretty easy leveling this up. just dump all of them into that. We are sitting at around 33k max stam with 22.3k max health and 17.8k max mag.

MUNDUS STONE:
For the Solo Nightblade Build, we are using the lover mundus stone for more penetration because I didn’t get enough of that with the thief mundus stone, our natural crit is already really nice and as a Khajiit we can sacrifice a little bit of that for more pen. Now these mundus stones are all over the base game zones.
SKILLS
You want to aim for these skills, but the order you slot them is totally a personal preference.
MAIN BAR
Wrecking Blow | Reverse Slice | Camouflaged Hunter | Stampede | Killer’s Blade | Incapacitating Strike |
---|
BACK BAR
Arrow Barrage | Razor Caltrops | Relentless Focus | Mirage | Leeching Strikes | Soul Tether |
---|
Front bar
Wrecking Blow – 2h Line – This is our main single target spammable, and goes nicely in our rotation.
Reverse Slice – 2h Line – Now the reason I am running this is to clear aoe fights at execute level. We have an aoe spammable on here but this allows us to execute in an aoe setting. This can be switched out with something of your preference but I am using it for that reason.
Camo Hunter – Fighter’s Guild Line – Which is giving us a passive buff of major savagery and prophecy which gives us increased weapon and spell critical.
Stampede – 2h Line – This is our main aoe spammable that just dishes out so much damage.
Killer’s Blade – Assassination Line – Our last skill is killers blade which is our single target boss execute at 25 percent health. It wrecks as an execute.
Incapacitating Strike (Ultimate) – Assassination Line – Our main ultimate, which will be up all the time due to the low ultimate cost. But it will cause our attacks to do 20 percent more damage to enemies for 6 seconds after using it.
Back Bar
Arrow Barrage – Bow Line – This is a fantastic DOT that does tons of damage over time.
Razor Caltrops – PvP Assault Line – This skill is another massive AOE and DOT, that also slows enemies which is very very helpful for solo play.
Relentless Focus – Assassination Line – Relentless focus one of your best buff skills, this will increase your weapon and spell damage by 60 with every light and heavy attack up to five times. heavies should put 2 stacks on it. When it hits 5 you have the option to use the ability to fire an arrow that does a lot of damage and heals you for 33 percent of it. But it’s up to you if you want a little bit more damage in your rotation you can do that but it is a little more advanced. I’ll talk about that when we get to the rotation.
Mirage – Assassination Line – This is going to be a shield and buff that gives us minor resolve and major evasion. This will help us mitigate some damage.
Leeching Strikes – Siphoning Line – This allows us to heal and gain stamina back when we light and heavy attack. This is another pre buff fight skill that you always want up because it will help us with our sustain.
Soul Tether (Ultimate) – Siphoning Line – This skill is a oh crap ultimate that does a lot of damage in a an area but also heals you.
Progression of Skills from level 3 to 50:
You can slot the first skill on your front bar from each Nightblade’s skill line. Also slot 2h skills and bow skills because you will need that. You also need to start doing dolmens for Fighter’s Guild exp, for Camo Hunter. Also make sure to follow my guide on getting your PvP up quickly it is in the description of the video. This will level up all your lines accordingly. Slot the skills that you need for the build when they are unlocked.
PASSIVE SKILLS
The Solo Nightblade Build utilizes these passives. As you get more skills points feel free to put more points into other things. But These passives are crucial to helping you really increase your effectiveness.
Class: All Class Passives
Weapon: All 2h and bow passives.
Armor: All Medium Armor
Racial: All Racial passives.
Guild: All Undaunted Passives, and banished the wicked plus skilled tracker from the Fighter’s Guild
Craft: Medicinal Use from the Alchemy tree.
ARMOR
These armor sets are the endgame/end build armor sets to go for. I will give a progression below that you can follow from level 3 to CP 160. But all these armor sets should be easy to get.
Stormfist
On the head and shoulder we have Stormfist, which is from Veteran Tempest Island Dungeon. This is in the base game but that helmet is going to give us stamina recovery, and when we deal damage we have a chance to do some shock damage but a ton of Physical Damage as well. This helmet destroys things.
Briarheart
On the body pieces we are wearing Briarheart. This is farmable in the Wrothgar overland zone, or you can buy it on guild traders. This is going to give us critical chance x2, max stamina, and when we deal critical damage it will increase our weapon and spell damage, and when the effect is active we heal every time we do a critical strike. The amazing thing is this set will synergize well us being a Khajiit, and with how much we are critically hitting.
Vicious Serpent
The jewelry and 2h weapon we are using is Vicious Serpent from the Craglorn Trials. These are the easiest trials in the game, but this will give us critical chance, minor slayer, which increases our damage to arena, trial, and dungeon monsters by 5 percent. But the most amazing part of this set is it will reduce the cost of our stamina abilities by 8 percent and when we kill an enemy we will restore stamina, and get major expedition which makes us a very fast person.
Willpower
The last item set is a Bow of Agility, since this is very easy to obtain from random dungeons, imperial city, or on guild traders. This can be switched out for maelstrom weapons if you would like.

Alternate Item Set Build with Ring of the Pale Order

5x piece Briarheart
5x piece Vicious Serpent
Ring of the pale order
Armor Set Progression from level 3 to CP 160
Level 3 – (Hundings) (Twilight’s Embrace) – Crafted sets
Level 25 – (Viper’s Sting) – Fungal Grotto Dungeon (Leviathan) – Crypt of Hearts Dungeon (Venomous Smite) – Western Skyrim Overland
Level 50 – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace
Level 160 CP – You should be able to craft yourself Hunding’s Rage and Twilight’s Embrace. Once you do that you can farm Briarheart in Wrothgar, switch Twilight’s out for that. Then you can go into the Craglorn Trials and farm Vicious Serpent. Switch that with Hunding’s Rage. Then go and get Stormfist helm from Veteran Tempest Island. You could get Slimecraw first before doing Tempest Island, but that’s up to you.
CHAMPION POINTS
WARFARE TREE
Moving your mouse over the stars in the CP screen will give you more info of what it does. If you don’t have many skill points, don’t worry, just pick what you can and how much you can. Only the slottable ones are listed, the rest is up to your preference.
- Fighting Finesse (Slot)
- Deadly Aim (Slot)
- Reaving Blows (Slot)
- Master at Arms (Slot)
You can put other points into other non-slottable CP stars and the ones you need to get the slottable ones.
FITNESS TREE
- Bloody Renewal (Slot)
- Rejuvenation (Slot)
- Survival Instincts (Slot)
- Sustained by Suffering (Slot)
The rest of the points put into what you want in the red tree and the ones you need to get the slottables.
CRAFT TREE
This tree is kind of open to anything, just pick what you like, it doesn’t matter for combat. If you want suggestions, I would say Liquid Efficiency, Rationer and Treasure Hunter are always a good choice.
SOLO NIGHTBLADE BUILD ROTATION
The rotation for the Solo Nightblade Build is as simple as I could get it for you all
Mirage > Relentless Focus > Leeching Strikes > Arrow Barrage > Caltrops > Switch Bars
make sure to light attack between skills
Stampede > Light Attack > Wrecking Blow > Light Attack > Wrecking Blow > Light Attack > Wrecking Blow > switch bars (Also use ultimate when it is up)
Re-apply your damage over times and buffs when needed.
Use Killer’s Blade when boss is under 25 percent health.
Use Reverse Slice for some aoe execute situations.
But Solo rotations aren’t as set in stone because you have to move around, do mechanics and heal yourself. Use this as a guideline and go out there and wreak havoc!
