NIGHTBLADE TANK BUILD
“SAP TANK”
“SAP TANK”
This Nightblade Tank is perfect for you who is learning to tank, a great starting point to have fun tanking and also learn about the role, other than just taunting, because with this build you are also helping your team with healing, buffs and damage. And if you are already an experienced player, you will also like this build because it’s just so much fun.
BREAKING DOWN THE BUILD
CLASS: NIGHTBLADE
Nightblade is always a really fun class to use as DPS and that also applies to the tank role. As you may have guessed from the build name, we are using a lot of siphoning skills to sap the life out of our enemies, healing us and debuffing and damaging them.
RACE: DARK ELF
We are using Dark Elf for this build because of its passives, increased magicka and stamina very useful, just as the extra spell and weapon damage the race have, to help us dish a bit more damage on the enemies. Argonians and Nords also work very well for this build.
BUFF FOOD: LONG FIN PASTY WITH MELON SAUCE
This food is easy to attain and will add to all three pools, giving you increased magicka, health and stamina for battle. The ingredients are Fish, Melon, Greens and Frost Mirriam, but if you cannot make it yourself, it is fairly cheap on guild traders.

POTIONS:
For this build basically any potions you want to use will work, be it those normal comum potions that drop from enemies, using it as needed, or tri-stat potions, or even the crown potions that you get from daily rewards. But if you are doing vet content, tri-stat/crown potions are more recommended.
ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
We have quite a bit of every resource, a really good amount of health with 43k, and good stamina and magicka with 24k and 21k respectively. So the points distribution is: 48 points into Health, 16 points into stamina and 2 points into magicka.

MUNDUS STONE: The Lord (Increase maximum health)
SKILLS
The order you slot it is totally personal preference, just make sure you aim to get all of these skills.

Pierce Armor: Puncture morph. Weapons section, One Hand and Shield tree. Your melee taunt, every tank must use it.
Lotus Fan: Teleport Strike morph. Class section, Assassination tree. A great gap closer and also will inflict Major Vulnerability, which is a great pre-debuff to apply to a boss.
Inner Rage: Inner Fire morph. Guild section, Undaunted tree. Your ranged taunt, that will also activate a synergy for your group.
Mirage: Blur Morph. Class section, Assassination tree. This is a great mitigation skill, always have it active during a fight.
Leeching Strikes: Siphoning Strikes morph. Class section, Siphoning tree. This will help you heal and sustain your stamina, always have it active too.
Soul Tether (Ultimate): Soul Shred morph. Class section, Siphoning tree. Awesome ultimate that heals you, heal your allies, and also damage enemies.

Silver Leash: Silver Bolts morph. Guild section, Fighters Guild tree. This will pull the enemies close to you, a great skill to group enemies.
Refreshing Path: Path of Darkness morph. Class section, Shadow tree. This is going to increase the moving speed and heal everyone in the area, this is great to escape crowd control and AoE damage.
Sap Essence: Drain Power morph. Class section, Siphoning tree. This is an awesome skill that will heal you and your team the more enemies there are, and will increase your spell and weapon damage against those enemies.
Bolstering Darkness (Ultimate): Consuming Darkness morph. Class section, Shadow tree. A really fun to use and really strong ult. It will slow every enemy in the area and also heal every ally by a lot.

ARMOR
Both Leeching and Crimson sets have a similar effect, that being you will heal yourself for 100% the damage that set proc does, so you will never be short of healing. Leeching procs all the time so it will always be active, and Crimson have a cooldown, but as long as you are in the main bar, the set will keep activating every 8 seconds, and you can use this 8 seconds cooldown to go to your back bar and throw some heals and buffs for your allies, and because of the Grand Rejuvenation staff, you and your group members will restore Magicka and Stamina when you use Healing Springs, together with the healing that skill provides, of course. Earthgore is a really strong monster helm that saves lives.
For alternatives and easier to get sets, you can use the Ebon Armory set, which will help your group and provide everyone with more health, with Sellistrix monster set. And if you want craftable sets to use while you farm those main sets, you can use basically any tank geared craftable set you fancy, recommend Fortified Brass and Torug’s Pact.
